Refund & Returns Policy

At Brighters Detergents, customer satisfaction is our top priority. We have created this Refund & Returns Policy to ensure transparency and trust when dealing with product purchases, returns, and service cancellations. This policy reflects both customer and client interests, including important details on transaction costs in case of a refund.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds are issued only for eligible products/services as defined under this policy and in accordance with the terms of purchase.

2. Return Window

Customers may return eligible products within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

All returns must be approved in writing via email at info@brightersdetergents.co.ke before being shipped back.

6. Return Shipping

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a defective or wrong item shipped.

7. Inspection Process

All returned items will be inspected upon receipt. Refunds will only be processed if items pass inspection.

8. Refund Processing Time

Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days from the date we receive the returned item.

9. Mode of Refund

Refunds are issued through the original method of payment or via MPESA/Bank Transfer for cash purchases.

10. Installation Charges

Installation or on-site service fees are non-refundable once the service has been rendered.

11. Cancellation of Orders

Orders may be cancelled without penalty if the request is made within 24 hours of placing the order and before dispatch.

12. Service Cancellation

Cancellations for booked services (like solar installation) must be made at least 48 hours in advance for eligibility for partial refund.

If you receive a damaged or defective product, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence to qualify for a replacement or refund.

If you receive the wrong item, we will arrange a return at our cost and send the correct item as soon as possible.

16. Warranty Returns

Items covered under warranty may be returned or exchanged if the fault is due to a manufacturing defect.

17. Exchanges

We offer product exchanges for defective items or wrong products delivered, subject to stock availability.

18. Restocking Fee

A restocking fee of 10% may apply to returns not due to error or defect. Transaction costs such as payment gateway or processing fees may also be deducted from the total refundable amount.

19. Bulk or Commercial Orders

Special conditions apply for commercial orders and bulk purchases. These are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the agreement.

If a dispute arises regarding refunds or returns, both parties agree to attempt resolution through customer service before pursuing legal remedies.
